Trattoria Fanny is a sister restaurant of Vinland,
the world's only 100% local food restaurant.

Trattoria Fanny is a simple, rustic, casual restaurant, the likes of which Italians eat in every day in every town and city in Italy. It is named for my grandmother, Fanny Levi (née Leoni) who was born in Milan in 1908 and had to flee in 1939. She was an elegant and classy woman, mother of five, and a fantastic home cook. This trattoria is an homage to her.

David Levi Owner

David Levi is the owner of both Trattoria Fanny and Vinland. David is a New York City expat and his father's family is Italian-Jewish, from Venice and Milan. The Levi family escaped to the US in 1939, but many eventually moved back to Italy, and David retains close ties to his family there. It is tremendously exciting for David to share the cuisine of his youth, his first culinary love, the food of central and northern Italy.

Sid Rumma Chef

Take a pinch of Italian, Indian, French and North African; gently mix the ingredients together and you get Siddharta. With a family steeped in the culinary arts -his dad had a restaurant back in Italy - his next step in life was inevitable. From writing about food to making it, the switch was natural. After working at The Corner Room in Portland and contributing to the opening of Eataly Boston, Siddharta is now ready for the new adventure called Trattoria Fanny. His vision is to keep it simple, traditional and most of all, Italian.
